StarEFX PULSE delivers two outcomes in a single ceiling panel: measured acoustic sound absorption and human-centric sensory lighting. Engineered for architects, interior designers, and specifiers working in healthcare, childcare, sensory, de-escalation, education, and commercial environments where acoustic performance and atmosphere are both critical design requirements.

How it works

Each PULSE panel contains 40 individually addressable LED-driven fibre optic points powered by 2 LED engines, producing a realistic, calming star shimmer effect. Panels connect via Wi-Fi or wired LAN and integrate with the LightEFX Human Centric Ecosystem — synchronising with tuneable white downlights, RGB LED strips, EdgeLine Cornices, EdgeLine Skirtings, and the DeskLight task lamp through a single touchscreen hub and app.

Installation overview

Panels install into a standard 1200×600mm A24 suspended grid or fix directly to drywall with 6 plaster screws. Low voltage cable daisy-chains each panel. A single GPO powers up to 24 panels. Optional control module enables remote colour and animation programming.

PULSE integrates with StarEFX MATRIX panels, the Altair suspended acoustic lighting panel, RGBCCT Downlights, EdgeLine Cornices, EdgeLine Skirtings, RGBCW LED strips, and the DeskLight task lamp — all synchronised through a central touchscreen hub for coordinated scene control.
